Corvette found and returned to original owner 33 years after stolen
In 1981 George Talley parked his 1979 Corvette on Jefferson Avenue in downtown Detroit. The next time he saw the car was after he received a call from authorities telling him it had been found in Mississippi - 33 years later. As John Fitzpatrick, Chevy Marketing Manager, said in this Detroit News
article, "The car was a little rough. It was stolen, so it wasn't exactly taken care of."
